Thomas Edison and his light bulb.

Edison’s bulb illuminates every household today. But it is Edison’s grit and never say die attitude, which attracts people the most.  In his quest to invent the bulb the great scientist failed thousands of times, some say 8,000 times and some say 10,000 times. The huge number of failed attempts did not deter Edison’s determination. In fact when people used to ask Edison to quit because of the failures then he would tell them that he has not failed but has learnt thousand different ways by which a bulb cannot be invented. He kept on working hard and eventually succeeded.

We all would love to pay any price to develop the attitude, which Edison had. But in our life’s journey while pursuing a goal we get disheartened as soon as we encounter any failure. We sink into depression. We get thoroughly convinced that we do not have the ability to achieve our objective. If Edison would had the same mindset then today may be we all would be still living in dark houses.

Successful people who have positively transformed the world have clearly defined goals. They know what they want to achieve and why they want to achieve. They are also aware that the path, which they are going to tread will not be bed of roses.  But they pursue their goal with positive attitude because they firmly believe that right intention attract God’s attention.

The all-loving God helps those noble souls by dissipating the darkness which comes in their path and guides them towards the right path.  We use today Edison’s invented bulb to illuminate our homes, we should similarly illuminate our heart by pleading God to guide us. When we start experiencing God’s grace in our life then failures won’t frighten us and success won’t delude us.
