Construction Company Gets Contract for Mayapur Temple
Gammon India, one of India's leading construction companies, has obtained a contract worth Rs 1.37 billion from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).
The order work includes construction of `Sri Chaitanya Chandrodaya Mandir and Indian Educational & Cultural Centre` at Sri Mayapur, district Nadia, West Bengal.
Gammon undertakes various construction works related to transportation engineering projects, which include bridges, flyovers, viaducts, aqueducts, roads, highways, and railways; power projects, such as nuclear, thermal, and hydro power stations, as well as power transmission and distribution solutions comprising the design, testing, fabrication, supply of materials, erection, stringing, testing, and commissioning; and industrial and commercial structures.
Share prices of the company spiked upon announcement of the news, settling at Rs 216 for Wednesday. The total volume of shares traded was 8,482 at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
